We certainly hope not! However, when you are funding your own activism, reality looms large and there are no guarantees that you will be around tomorrow. Just like other listener sponsored organizations, we rely on you, our audience to assist in times of need or expansion. This is a time of both. “Dear Friends, 2011 was a great year for Progressive Parenting Radio. We reached 19,854 listeners. We had listeners in every state and live calls from accross the nation. We even received international calls from:Aruba, Australia, Brussles, Canada, Great Brittain, Hong Kong, Singapore, Spain and Tokyo! We are excited to be sharing peaceful birth and parenting to such a wide audience.
This year we hope to add internet Television to our efforts. Our vision is to add a channel to our site that broadcasts once a week. We will still be interviewing experts however the program will run for 10 minutes. We have listened to our audience and they have let us know that not every parent has 90 minutes to listen to our our radio program but still needs/craves the information. In order to add this feature we need new equipment.
We are appealing to past guests and friends of the show for help. We need to raise $7000 to replace our now defunct laptop and a quad core PC, get camera equipment & the software to run a TV show. AND cover the TB conference live! Travel stay etc.
Our goal is to have all the equipment we need by February 15th so that we can be proficient enough to bring you recorded video segments and possibly “LIVE” interviews streamed over our website from the Trust Birth conference in April.
In order to achieve this goal, we are combining this goal with our previous goal for the TRUST BIRTH CONFERENCE.”
